Introducing a New Feature: User Blogs
Well with the current break in posting, I have been planning a new feature on The Phins Report and that is where you get to write your own blog. It is somewhat like Blogger or Wordpress.com where you get your own blog to write and use whatever is available in the Dashboard. If you have never used a wordpress blog before FAQ’s can be found here http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_New_To_WordPress .
If you look to the right in the toolbar there is an RSS feed from all of the blogs combined into one, So the newest posts will show. If you post something interesting or write something interesting I will post it under your name with credit to you. Somewhat how The Phinsider does with their FanPosts.
The User Blogs can be found here.
Have fun and enjoy the new feature.

Productive use of the “Wildcat”
Everybody knows that the Dolphins use of the Wildcat is and intreval part of the offense, and if you did not know that. You are either living under or a rock or just don’t pay attention to football at all. Last week against the Texans, The Dolphins changed it up not just letting Ronnie or Ricky running it but doing a double reverse and giving the ball to Pennington to pass. Which resulted in a Patrick Cobbs catch and touchdown, and coincidentally that is what the Dolphins had to do to make the wildcat succesful.
In the first 2 weeks of its use the Dolphins mainly ran it with Ronnie and Ricky as eluded to before and that made it easy for teams to defend. Bring the Corners and maybe the safeties on the outside to rush, and bring in the linebackers and line into the middle and for the most part it would shutdown them barring an occasional success due to good blocking. San Diego did that for most of the game with some success in stopping it, but one play by Ronnie resulted in a touchdown.
The next week, which unfortunately I did not get to see but from the highlights and audio. I did hear about the Ronnie to Ricky to Pennington play, which is exactly what the Dolphins need to do with the Wildcat. They need creativity which is what originally got the Wildcat going. We can’t have what we had with Cameron and that was a run of the mill offense, The Dolphins do have a good QB and 2 good RB’s (maybe 3 depending on if Cobbs keeps it up), the line has been good but the weakness is the wide receivers. I love Camarillo and all that he has done for the Dolphins but he is not a “#1″ WR. On most teams he would be a #4 or #5, maybe even practice squad but he is the Dolphins #1 WR. This brings the need for creativity, the Dolphins can’t run the ball all game eventually the line would get tired and it would be obvious the Dolphins will throw it and become a predictable offense.
To become more creative more time and effort has to be put into changing the Wildcat and or another type of play. Although alot of work has been put into this system, If the Dolphins want to keep on winning the key is creativity. Get Ginn involved in the Wildcat, maybe have Chad Pennington comeback have Ronnie backward pass it to him and then let him throw it down the field to Ricky and maybe Ginn. Theres many things the Dolphins can do that will still awe teams and wonder what is going on. Running it on every team was good until they discovered it and the creativity will keep teams on their feet and that will lead to winning games
Host Moved Servers: Down for a week
So yeah, The past week and 2 days have been hell for me because apparently something came up with my hosting company and they had to move data servers. So yeah if you’ve actually seen the webpage in that frame of time consider your self lucky.
So the Dolphins lost to the Texans on a last minute Schaub run, Porter got fine and Soliai was suspended is that a good breakdown for the week?
Dolphins sign Marc Magro to practice squad, cut Tyson Smith
Former Rams linebacker Marc Magro was signed to the Dolphins practice squad, where he replaces Tyson Smith.
The Dolphins worked out the rookie inside linebacker twice before officially signing him Tuesday. .The 6-foot-2, 246-pound Magro is an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia.
He was released from the Rams’ practice squad on Sept. 24 and worked out for the Dolphins last Thursday.Magro was a middle linebacker for the Mountaineers. He finished his senior season with 64 tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.
Smith, who spent training camp with the Cowboys, had been on the Dolphins practice squad since the opening of the regular season.
Don’t remember who Tyson Smith is, and just know who Magro is from the article. Its news so why not post it…
Dolphins 17, Chargers 10
The Dolphins came off a convincing win over the Patriots with another win over a very competitive team. The Chargers weren’t able to get their offense going at all, Ladainian Tomlinson who could of surpassed 11,000 yards did not only gaining 35 yards, needing 54 to surpass 11,000. And Philip Rivers was kept to 159 yards and 1 touchdown, with Rivers looking to be injured in the first play of the game but he played the rest of the game.
The Dolphins used the wildcat formation on most of the beginning drives and was highly successful on 2 of the 11 times using it, one allowing Ronnie Brown to run in for a touchdown. Sparano feels that small gains on the wildcat are fine “of the things you do here…and again, it’s a little bit of our identity…but four yards is a good play.”.
Ronnie Brown for the second straight game had an amazing performance juking and pummelling the Chargers defense for 125 yards and 1 touchdown, Not as impressive as his 5 touchdown feat at New England but still impressive none the less. Brown actually looked better than Tomlinson, but Tomlinson having the toe injury didn’t help him much. Greg Camarillo as well who caught the only passing touchdown for the Dolphins looked good, bringing in some tough catches and gaining some yards, he had 6 catches for 68 yards. His smarts on the field help him to get open and get down the field, for a waiver wire pick up by Cam Cameron and the savior of last years season he certainly has been a surprise.
The game came close at the end, but an amazing stop on 4th and 1 at the 1 held the Chargers from tying and stops after 3 and outs by the offense. Yeremiah Bell was a big part of the defense stopping the run and deflecting passes, as well as Matt Roth who brough constant pressure all day long and got a sack.
It certainly wasn’t a pretty win for the Dolphins towards the end of the game, but it certainly was a win and it doubled the win amount from last year. Tony Sparano, Bill Parcells and Jeff Ireland and the whole staff should be commended for actually doing productive things this year. I wasn’t expecting much out of this season and seeing the Dolphins beat the two teams who were last in the AFC Championship, was amazing. Next week is the Texans, who seem to always beat the Dolphins no matter what. After their collapse this week against the Colts it should be an interesting matchup.
Chargers @ Dolphins Open Discussion/Other News
I will be starting to blog again, this coming week. I will be changing my writing style to include less of the story and more writing somewhat like other blogs do. There will be 2 to 3 posts a day depending on the news coming out of the day and most of them will come in the drivetime hour (5-7 PM). And if you noticed (if you’ve been here), there was a design change to change up things and make the site look more professional. So now on to the other news…
Once again we will have an open discussion at the ProSportsDaily.com forums
If you would like to join in and discuss with us, the link to the game thread is http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthread.php?t=276579

Not many surprises here, Although some people were surprised to see Anthony Armstrong make the team. Armstrong looked great in camp and he got some playing time in games not really enough to prove himself. Ironically enough the Palm Beach Post posted an article on him this morning, A couple of days ago on a forum there was a thread about who would the Dolphins keep at the Wide Receiver position and basically there were only 6 who could feasably make it, and all of them did make it…
A concern though about the current roster is the lack of depth on the line, which the Dolphins had even before cutting time. But since Sparano’s specialty is on the offensive line I would trust him. The 53 man roster is already up on the Dolphins website and its good to see what this years roster may look like.
