Phins leading in Pro Bowl Voting
ESPN.com has released some early probowl numbers and some Dolphins players are leading in them…
Running back: 1) Ronnie Brown, 284,794; 2) LaDainian Tomlinson, 263,584; 3) Chris Johnson, 240,049; 4) Marshawn Lynch, 154,637; 5) Maurice Jones-Drew, 147,703.
Brown hasn’t looked that good in some weeks but he still has a huge margin over Ladainian Tomlinson, If he keeps getting 100 yard games and a touchdown in atleast the rest of the games he should get in no problem. And it would be a great reward to get in his first Pro Bowl.
Tackle: 1) Jake Long, 108,943; 5) Michael Roos, 70,068.
It is very interesting that Long is leading despite being a rookie, There was a poll on The Phinsider asking what was the most likely thing that could happen this season and I voted Long goes to the Pro Bowl but I was still a little sceptical about it. Maybe just rookie tackles always get in, Joe Thomas last season, Jake Long this year?
Outside linebacker: 1) Joey Porter, 151,463; 2) Keith Bulluck, 117,856.
Really Porter leading is not that surprising he is leading in sacks and has led the Dolphins defense all season long, and unofficially being the bastard voice of the team. Hes pretty much assured of getting in being 34,000 votes ahead of Keith Bulluck.
Special teamer
2. Larry Izzo, Patriots (43,462)
3. Patrick Cobbs, Dolphins (41,895)
Cobbs definitely deserves some recognition for his work this year, despite being the 3rd RB. He has been getting alot of plays as of late and on special teams he is the heart, although the Special Teams is not that great which can be attributed to other players.
If the Dolphins have a Pro Bowler, It will be finally another name then Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor. Its the changing of times and Sparano, Parcells and Ireland have brought it forth.
