Camarillo Resigned for 3 years

Early in the offseason I wrote a post on how Camarillo could be out of the picture , but now he rose his way up the depth chart through out training camp and now he is the #1 receiver on the Dolphins despite only making the NFL minimum. Now the Dolphins gave him a 3 year deal worth $6 million dollars, A pretty good deal for the Dolphins and Camarillo.

Camarillo is suprisingly the leader in receptions in yards, ahead of Ted Ginn who already has a big contract and also way ahead of Ernest Wilford who was signed to a major offseason deal and is not even on the field.

Heres the story from ESPN…

Receiver Greg Camarillo’s breakout year with the Miami Dolphins has earned him a new contract.

Camarillo’s $6 million, three-year extension keeps him under contract through 2011. He leads the Dolphins with 49 receptions for 538 yards and one touchdown after catching a total of eight passes in his first two NFL seasons.

Camarillo said he reported for training camp merely hoping to make the team, but he has started every game.
